Duson Family Healthcare is a family practice walk-in clinic located in Duson, LA, owned and operated by Tiffany Roy, FNP. Dr. Darrin Menard of Scott serves the clinic as Medical Director. We opened our doors on September 9, 2008. Our focus is to diagnose and treat non emergent conditions while emphasizing preventative medicine and the overall health and wellness of our patients. Our goal is to provide the most comprehensive medical care possible, at an affordable price, to optimize the care and well-being of each patient. We treat patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. We are located in the heart of Duson, just minutes away from Lafayette. H1N1 VACCINES

Initailly, vaccines will be administered to target populations who need protection the most. The following populations are considered to be at high risk of contracting the H1N1 "Swine Flu" Virus:

* Pregnant Women

* All people age 6 months to 24 years

* Household contacts and caregivers for children younger than 6 months of age

* Healthcare workers and EMS personnel with direct patient care responsibilities

* People age 25 through 64 years who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza - ex. COPD, Diabetes, etc.

If you or someone you know falls into any of these groups, it is imperative that you receive the H1N1 vaccine as soon as possible.

Costs of the vaccine is $15.

All children under the age of 10 must get 2 doses of the vaccine 1 month apart.

Medicaid DOES cover the cost of the vaccine.

Immunizations We offer immunizations for patients under the age of 19 who are uninsured for only a $10 fee. Children with Medicaid do not have to pay for vaccines.
